Are you a budding DJ or party planner aged between 13 and 18 years old?
Would you like to learn to DJ, plan and put on an event- for real, all in a day?
Join this hands-on workshop where professional DJs will show you exactly what you need to know to put on a great gig, from mixing the tunes to setting up the club.
Then we’ll open the doors of a pop-up free family-friendly disco that you’ve created… and all before the sun goes down.
Your workshop host is Aoife McElwain, who has dreamed-up, hosted, and DJed at all types of events from the main stages of Ireland's biggest festivals to her friends’ kitchen discos. She’ll be bringing some local DJ talent along to help on the day.
No experience in DJing and / or event management is needed to participate. This is a completely free event and is part of the 2025 Cruinniú na nÓg programme. This event is sponsored by Creative Ireland, Galway County Council, Night Time Economy, and Cruinniú na nÓg.

5pm to 7pm FREE Family Friendly Community Disco at Station House Theatre with workshop attendees as welcoming committee, event management team, and DJs!
